John Berry was always known as JB. He joined the U.S. Army Eighth Calvary at age 15 as an enlisted man. Hard work eventually allowed him to become a decorated officer for bravery during WWII. He left the service as a Captain. Unfortunately,
J.B. and Betty were divorced and she returned with the children to the United Kingdom about the time of his retirement from the Army. He later worked for a while as a chef in Denver, Colorado.--B. Spradley
